A qualitative exploratory research with in-depth interviews (open semi-structured questions) was carried out. The participants were 16 mothers and 1 father between 23 and 44 years old. To understand the perspectives of these mothers about the experiences of consuming pediatric services, was identified that the pediatrician selection process is divided into three stages: they become first-time mothers and begin receiving various pediatrician recommendations; then it continues when they make that first visit to the pediatrician; finally, they continue in the search or decide that they have already found the right pediatrician for their baby according to the feeling they have established with the pediatrician. The consultation motivations identified were two: the motivation for consultation for development and growth and complementary feeding, and motivation on issues that require immediate attention (conditions, illnesses or accidents). Similarly, five value attributes that are decisive in measuring satisfaction in mothers were observed: communication and vocation, availability, credibility, physical conditions of the place, and cost. It was concluded that millennial mothers demand empathic, explanatory service experiences, that not only focus on the child's health, but also on understanding their fears and concerns; moreover, they require an excellent post-consultation service (post-sale) with availability of the specialist by means of WhatsApp or phone call. Finally, these mothers are consumers that prefer to learn from the experience of others and even seek to be and consume in community, since they trust the recommendations made by friends, acquaintances or relatives, and always prefer to seek advice from their communities of mothers before any type of decision regarding the health of their children.Ítem La función expresiva en estudiantes de quinto de primaria de un colegio bilingüe privado de Envigado(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Calle Vásquez, Mariana; Vásquez Ochoa, Andrés MiguelThis work has as an objective, to establish the expressive function through painting, as a way of understanding the development of the child in its context -- Following up a tour through the conceptions of both concepts, emotional state, artistic development and the constant relationship they have had during time -- Taking into account classic authors like Piaget and Vygotsky, as well as experiments that have been implemented -- The concepts such as the use of color, the emotions, the feelings and the intensity among other factors and the relation there is between these aspects and the concept of expression and development affect the production of the art -- Resulting in the fact that the concept or most significant dimension of the expressive function in children is the size of the drawing in the page and this matches evolutionarily with the perception the child has of his or her space in the world -- The children tested during this work are in the state were they starting to become real persons leaving behind their early childhood which backs up Paget’s theory of evolution, leaving behind a state of selfishness and narcissism that they had not far ago -- Starting to search for their place in the world, they are beginning to beÍtem La influencia de la estimulación musical en el desarrollo cognitivo : una revisión sistemática(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Jaillier Pérez, Juanita; Cuartas Arias, Jorge MauricioObjective: Musical stimulation in various academies promises comprehensive child development that sets them apart throughout their youth. This systematic review aimed to analyze such practices and determine whether this promise is genuine or merely a conception. Methods: Following PRISMA standards for systematic reviews, the influence of musical stimulation on children's development was evaluated by reviewing trials, articles, and existing studies in the Scopus, National Library of Medicine, and Scielo databases. Out of 24 studies found, only 6 met the inclusion criteria. All studies considered in this review concluded that both music and musical stimulation influence various spheres of children's cognitive development. Conclusions: Musical stimulation is a significant ally for the comprehensive development of children, thus distinguishing those who have been in such spaces in academic and general life scenarios.
