Ítem Advances and findings in geodiversity estimation with an emphasis on the potential of geosystem goods and services : Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Zapata Herrera, Juan Fernando; Marín Cerón, María IsabelÍtem Análisis estructural y tectonoestratigráfico de la línea sísmica SPAN-3800 entre las cuencas de Colombia y Guajira Offshore en la región del Caribe colombiano(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Cepeda Posada, Juan Pablo; Redondo Toro, Laura; Beltrán Triviño, Alejandro Iván; Piraquive Bermúdez, AlejandroThe Guajira Offshore and Colombia basins are located at the boundary between the south of the Caribbean plate and the northwestern corner of the South America plate. The tectonic history of the area has been dominated by an oblique convergence between these two plates. The interactions between the plates from the Paleocene to the Recent have driving the major tectonostratigraphic and structural features of the area, generating accretion prisms and compression belts (Deformed Belt of the South Caribbean) along with major strike-slip elements of transtension and transpression. Taking this into account, the goal of this work was to perform a tectono-stratigraphic and structural analysis of the deformed sedimentary sequences in the northwestern of the Guajira Peninsula recorded in the SPAN 3800 seismic line. Four tectonic events were recognized from the interpretation of the seismic facies and reflector terminations, which show the accumulation trends of the sequences and the structures styles in the study area: 1) Extensional event from the Eocene to the Oligocene, 2) Transpression from the early Miocene to the Pliocene, 3) Transtension from the late Miocene period to the Pliocene and 4) Event of diapirism after the early Pliocene.Ítem Clasificación de las desembocaduras fluviales del Caribe colombiano usando el diagrama de Galloway cuantitativo(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Cuervo Cano, Angie Lisbet; Paniagua Arroyave, Juan FelipeÍtem Los dinoflagelados del mioceno medio alto, mioceno superior del Caribe colombiano : taxonomía, bioestratigrafía e implicaciones geológicas(Universidad EAFIT, 2006) Medina Campos, Liliana; Martínez Rodríguez, José IgnacioFrom the palynological study of the upper Middle Miocene – Upper Miocene interval, of the Colombian Caribbean it is reported, for the first time, the occurrence of 42 dinoflagellate morphotypes (22 Gonyaulacal, 19 Peridinial and 1 of the Mixed type) with a greater abundance of the Gonyaulacal group in the Lower Magdalena Valley and greater abundance and diversity of the Peridinial group in Lower Guajira. The latter occurrence agrees with the diversification of the Peridinial group during the Neogene. Six (6) possible dinoflagellate zones are recognized in the upper Middle Miocene – Upper Miocene interval thus increasing the biostratigraphic resolution provided by planktonic foraminifera and pollen.Ítem Repertorio pianístico del Caribe colombiano : gradación por competencias de aprendizaje(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Villa Thomas, María De La Luz; Tovar Henao, FelipeIn the 20th century, numerous Colombian composers embraced the transformative trends that swept through Latin American music, particularly in the realm of piano music. This article specifically examines the analysis of piano pieces by composers from the Colombian Caribbean, with the aim of categorizing them. The objective is to perceive this endeavor as a progressive organizational process, duly acknowledging the educational commitments involved. Accordingly, I delve into the piano repertoire of this region, focusing on notable musicians such as Emirto De Lima, Ángel María Camacho y Cano, Adolfo Mejía, Pedro Biava, and Hans Neuman. Despite the existing publications, many of their compositions remain relatively inaccessible and have not been thoroughly scrutinized for potential inclusion in university piano curricula. Undertaking projects of this nature becomes imperative to foster the interpretation of these works among upcoming generations of pianists. Such initiatives contribute to the advancement of learning and piano training in Colombia, utilizing the national repertoire as a foundation. This article is divided into four sections: the first section presents the issue at hand; the subsequent section delves into the relevant research background; the third section encompasses the analysis and categorization of the works according to difficulty levels; and, finally, the article concludes by summarizing the findings and suggesting new avenues for future research.Ítem Segmentación estructural del plano de subducción de la placa Caribe en las cuentas Guajira y Sinú Offshore(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Porras Morales, Sergio Alejandro; Alzate Rubio, Valentina; Duque Trujillo, José Fernando; Beltrán Triviño, Alejandro IvánEvidence such as seismic activity, geomorphological features such as diapirism and mud volcanism, accretionary prisms and the analysis of geodetic data, etc. indicate that the Colombian Caribbean is structurally segmented and that a subduction zone continues operating in an oblique convergent margin. To verify the above, seismic interpretation, surface modeling and calculation of focal mechanism solutions were carried out in the area between the offshore Sinú and offshore Guajira basins. The products obtained reflect different stress regimes from transtensive to transpressive throughout the study area, within the same convergent tectonic configuration, whose segmentation is represented by the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta area between the Cuiza fault system and the offshore lineament of the Santa Marta-Bucaramanga fault system. Therefore, it was determined that in the Colombian Caribbean the subduction plane of the Caribbean plate is segmented and subducting at different shallow angles under the South American plate.Ítem Tectonic Control On Costal Subsidence Around Cartagena Area And Northwestern Colombian Caribbean Coast(Universidad EAFIT, 2023) Gómez Álvarez, José Daniel; Duque Trujillo, José Fernando
