Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para la producción y comercialización de cannabis medicinal en Colombia bajo la norma NTC 6511:2021, por medio de la metodología ONUDI(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Patiño Gómez, Isabel Cristina; Chaverra Gaviria, Carolina; Henao Arango, Maria CeciliaThis document records the methodology proposed in a pre-feasibility study to define the implementation of a medicinal cannabis crop in the municipality of Marinilla, Antioquia. For this, we began by contextualizing the origin of medicinal cannabis, the problems that its use has raised and the parameters that this implies. All from a regulated point of view under the political, social and economic regulations in global and national levels, considering the different regulations issued by the Government of Colombia from Law 1787 of 2016, which regulates the cultivation, production and marketing of cannabis for medicinal and research purposes that was used as support to carry out the pre-feasibility study under the ONUDI methodology with good practices agricultural as established in NTC 6511: 2021. The business strategy was managed based on the stated objectives, which were used as a starting point for the conceptual frameworks that guided the construction of the methodological design and the definition of parameters that indicate the type of study to be carried out, the mode of development and finally the procedure that led to the analysis of the results, because it is an ascending industry in the national market is governed by a large number of regulations, as well by social and political guidelines. However, by integrating with the NTC 6511:2021 into the pre-feasibility study, the environmental analysis and the impact that this type of crop generates in terms of CO2 emissions and water consumption takes on great relevance, and how this affects the area where it is grown. will execute the project, so this component was crucial to give continuity to the market analysis and the technical study. Finally, by consolidating all the information and translating it into the financial analysis, the viability of the study could be determined. At this point, the political and economic volatility that the country is going through is considered, considering variables such as the price of the dollar, inflation, the growing medical cannabis market, among others, situation that considerably influences various financial parameters, affecting the results of the cash flow of both: the investor and the project. Given the volatility of the variables, the least optimistic path was chosen and the most challenging scenarios for the national economy were assumed. All projections are made based on the product cycle, which is 5.5 months, taking into account the depreciation of the equipment over its useful life according to the indications and technical recommendations of each one. The size of the investment and the risks represented by the market and the conditions mentioned above, two cash flows were made; one for the investor and another for the project, with which the scenario with leverage of the financial system or with the investment of own resources can be determined, both scenarios showing satisfactory projections of profitability.Ítem Estudio de prefactibilidad para una planta de producción y comercialización de cannabis medicinal en Pereira, Risaralda(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Lozano Cifuentes, Harold Jovan; Estupiñán Iglesias, Carlos Andrés; Muñoz Molina, YaromirThe objective of this master’s degree project is to carry out a pre-feasibility study to determine the viability of a plant for the production and commercialization of medicinal cannabis in the city of Pereira. The implementation of the UNIDO methodology, consisted of a study of the agro-industrial sector of cultivated cannabis for medicinal purposes as an alternative to improve the quality of life of people with high-cost diseases, given the issuance of Decree 2467 of 2015 by the Colombian government and recently, Law 1787 of July 6, 2016, where the cultivation, production, and marketing of cannabis for medicinal and research purposes is approved. This study includes the profile and the context analysis about aspects: legal, market, technical, environmental, and organizational. However, due to its history generated by improper use, mainly recreational, framed in illegal activities when handled as a narcotic agent, lead to aversion at a social, cultural, political, and religious level, overshadowing the benefits that it has when used as medicinal agent. Therefore, this new medical cannabis industry requires multiple developments in clinical research that can validate and support this plant and its derivatives as beneficial agents with therapeutic ranges for the symptomatic control of various human diseases.
