    Acciones gubernamentales que inciden en la calidad educativa básica y media vocacional : el caso del municipio de La Estrella 2012-2015

    The current work is an analytical document about the quality of elementary and middle vocational public education in the Estrella city (Antioquia- Colombia) during 2012 and 2015. Analysis that bring to the account, ideas of the school surroundings, their inner reality, back ground information like lectures and systematic research from primary and secondary resources. Resources that guide the analytic group to elaborate appropriate theories that intend to enhance and/or solve local education problems. The initial hypothesis of this work claims that the quality of the education is determined by different factors and the decision maker, where intent to describe if is the contents of the education, infrastructure, uniform, school transportation, school food, teachers training, connectiveness or access to vitality what leaded the Estrella City to show significative advances in the quality of the education during 2012-2015. On light of the hypothesis, results were found effective regarding allocation of the education budget, which clearly shows an increase of 148% in the period of time mentioned above; confirming this way, the importance of the decision maker, who determinately influence public administration, where process can be lead to transform education and the vison of population about the role of the education in the society.

    Asignación presupuestal de ingresos y gastos y calidad de la educación en las instituciones educativas oficiales en Santiago de Cali, en los años 2016 al 2018

    This document presents an budget allocation of the income and expenditure and quality of education of the official educational institutions in the city of Cali, for the period between 2016 and 2018, taking into account the resources from the General System of Educational Participation for free education and the income and expenditure budget for the period of study, as part of the impact it has on the quality of education. In order to develop the evaluation of the income and expense budget, a consolidated list of the 91 official educational institutions in the city for the years 2016 to 2018 was made, as well as a consolidated list of the resources from the balance of own resources and free education for the years 2017 to 2019. The results of the budget of the income and expenditure budget allowed the identification of what and how the economic resources were budgeted by the official educational institutions in Cali and the impact of the budget on educational quality.

    Determinantes del rendimiento en las pruebas Saber - 11 en Antioquia para los años 2017 a 2019 y su comparación con otras regiones con características similares

    Education determines a large part of the quality of life of people, wages and opportunities are closely related to it, so it is a complex issue for which it is decided to look for the determinants, such as institutional, family, socioeconomic and individual characteristics, which influence the educational quality for the department of Antioquia. An Ordinary Least Squares model is used, where the dependent variable is the global score on the Saber - 11 tests from 2017 to 2019. The results indicate that the most important determinants of the academic performance of students in Antioquia are socioeconomic characteristics such as stratum or access to public services, family characteristics such as education and occupation of the parents; and characteristics of the institution such as the day, the character (official or private), the gender (male, female or mixed) and the quality of the teachers. In addition to new variables included such as food, use of free time and access to books.
