Ítem Análisis crítico del Sistema Educativo de Curazao: una propuesta en construcción(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Hmichala Bekker, Ranouska; Gálvez Ortíz, Claudia AlejandraThe present study was carried out during 2016 and 2017 as a requirement to obtain the Undergraduate degree in Psychology at the EAFIT University of Medellin -- Education considered as a space to be carried out socially according to the characteristics of the context is retaken (Meszarós, 2008), however, in Curaçao a Dutch educational system was imposed, product of colonization -- Such situation leads to unfavorable results for the natives, among them the difficulties of understanding and expression of the inhabitants in the language adopted to educate, the Dutch -- The information was collected based on a semistructured interview, observations and a survey of curazoleans between 18 and 29 years old -- The main findings indicated that education in the Dutch language is a barrier because 76% of the population indicates that it is best expressed in Papiamento, their mother tongue -- In addition most have been motivated to study in Holland although 123 people indicated that "the classes in Papiamento are better, so you learn more about their language and understand the classes better"
