Ítem Efecto de diferentes fertilizantes comerciales en el crecimiento y porcentaje de nitrógeno de dos especies de microalgas(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Sánchez Ortiz, Aura Cristina; Miranda Parra, Alejandra MaríaÍtem Efecto de fertilizantes comerciales sobre la producción de biomasa de Scenedesmus obliquus ATCC 11457 a escala piloto(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Londoño Lopera, José Miguel; Miranda Parra, Alejandra MaríaThe study of microalgae has shown a wide applicability in varied fields as medicine, cosmetology CO2, capture among others. Despite this, the expenses are significant when it comes to producing microalgal biomass at large scale, especially for the cost of the culture medium, which is significantly high, reaching 40 % of the production cost; due to this, ways are being sought to save production processes. For the above, the present study evaluated the effect of two commercial NPK fertilizers have on the cell growth of Scenedesmus obliquus ATCC 11457, in order to propose a culture medium that can be a viable nutrient source and reduce costs of the media. For this, pilot-scale tests were carried out in 20 L photobioreactors, using commercial fertilizers as the culture medium. Crecilizer® and Florilizer® fertilizers were determined to be viable nutrient sources for S. obliquus. The Florilizer® fertilizer presented higher cellular productivity, compared to the traditional medium, 31 % more proteins and a reduction in production cost in culture medium up to 66 %, so this fertilizer is recommended for the production of biomass with high protein content and low cost.Ítem Efecto de la concentración de nitrógeno en la producción de Spirulina sp. en un proceso bistage(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Ramírez Zuluaga, Maria Camila; Peña Ospina, Maria Isabel; Sáez Vega, Alex ArmandoÍtem Evaluación del crecimiento celular y consumo de sustrato a partir del establecimiento de suspensiones celulares de Borojoa patinoi cuatrec(Universidad EAFIT, 2006-11-23) Caballero Múnera, Carolina; Cardona Díaz, Natalia; Giraldo Estrada, Catalina; Hernández Rendón, Cesar AugustoÍtem Evaluación del crecimiento de Spirulina platensis UTEX 1926 cultivada en medios salinos, utilizando CO2 como fuente de carbono(Universidad EAFIT, 2017) Rojas Osorio, Daniela; Vargas Betancur, Gabriel Jaime; Sáez Vega, Alex ArmandoThe cell growth of Spirulina platensis and the production their metabolites, are affected by factors such as the supply of nutrients and physical-chemical parameters such as salinity, pH, temperature and light availability -- The reduction of the use of fresh water and the reduction of production costs of Spirulina platensis culture; the use of sea water is implemented, due to its content of several inorganic constituents that are available to the primaries producers such as microalgae and cyanobacteria -- In this study the cell growth of the Spirulina platensis UTEX 1926 and the production of metabolites under various concentrations of salinity, sodium nitrate and dipotassium phosphate were evaluated in order to obtain the most suitable condition and the understanding of physiological that intervene in the metabolism of cyanobacteria -- A Central Composite Design (CCD) was applied and each treatment was performed thrice -- The strain was cultivated in 1000mL flasks, with an air stream enriched with 7% CO2, photoperiod 12:12 under artificial light (LED) with an intensity of 55±4μmol/m2s and temperature on average 27°C±3 -- The results showed that Spirulina platensis UTEX 1926 reached a cellular concentration of 2197mg/L when concentrations of 38,546g/L, 0,727g/L, 0,855g/L salinity, sodium nitrate and dipotassium phosphate respectively were used -- In addition, under these concentrations of nutrients, 203mg/L of proteins, 4mg/L of phycocyanin and 3mg/L of exopolysaccharides were obtained -- Finally the cost per unit of mass is 0,19US for the chosen condition, being a means of low cost compared to the Zarrouk medium (0,74US per unit mass)Ítem Optimización de un medio de cultivo para la producción de biomasa de la cepa Pseudomonas putida UA 44 aislada del suelo bananero de Uraba –Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2007-10-11) Becerra Mejía, Camilo Andrés; Villegas Escobar, ValeskaÍtem Remoción de color y crecimiento de biomasa en aguas con colorantes textiles mediante un proceso biológico con Spirulina Platensis(Universidad Eafit, 2020) Amaya González, María Paula; Zambrano Sanz, María Alejandra; Aristizábal Castrillón, Adriana; Arroyave Quiceno, Catalina; Cardona Rendón, Lorena; Sepúlveda Cadavid, Cindy
