Ítem Análisis de riesgos asociados al microcrédito al incursionar en la banca digital : caso Banco W - Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Miranda Hurtado, Diana Marcela; González Orozco, María Viviana; Durango Gutiérrez, María PatriciaThis paper aims to determine for Banco W a model for identifying the risk of microcredit when entering digital banking and its focus is to identify the differences with traditional banking. Reference is made to the main aspects related to the administration of microcredits in Colombia and how it influences the bankarization of independents and microentrepreneurs. It also explains how traditional banking prepares to evolve, through fintech and mobile banking. Finally, a descriptive model is proposed using a sample of Banco W's clients to identify the acceptance of the bank's products from digital platforms. Initially, a count is made of the beginning and evolution of the payment system in both countries. Next, we will proceed with the identification and analysis of the platforms that have been implemented by the different financial entities of the traditional banking system and the regulations that have governed this system. Finally, it analyzes the impact that the digital payment system has generated in the Colombian economy, taking as reference four financial entities, to conclude the use of mobile telephony, it is the most promoted payment system in the national market.Ítem Crecimiento de la banca digital en Colombia : un estudio comparado con el caso mexicano.(2019) Bayona Maldonado, Laura Cristina; Vanegas Niño, Oskar David; Gaitan Riaño Sandra ConstanzaThis document analyzes the growth of digital banking in Colombia; Nequi, a digital subsidiary of Bancolombia, was studied as a case study, and a comparison was made with the case of Bancomer móvil de México, whose experience has received multiple recognitions and awards. The text addresses the factors that influenced this growth of digital banking, the organizational and structural transformations suffered by banking entities for immersion in mobile platforms, the services offered by Nequi and Bancomer when it comes to consolidating in the market and an assessment of Bancolombia and Bancomer in the financial market. Currently, there are more companies that provide financial services through technological tools, without being a bank, which are known as fintech. PaoPresta is a Colombian fintech that lends up to 300.000 COP for a maximum 30 days. Nowadays, it has 46 VIP clients. Due to the knowledge of these VIP clients, a better market segmentation is sought. At the same time, through the Service Design, the retention of these clients is expected, and offering an optimal experience for users, will allow to consolidate a unique value proposition in the fintech market.Ítem Elementos claves en la evaluación de la rentabilidad a partir de la implementación de la banca digital en la banca tradicional : caso de aplicación en bancos colombianos.(2019) Quijano Ayala, Paula Andrea; Dávila Jiménez, Lina Fernanda; Orozco, CésarColombia, a developing country, is currently in the stage of transformation to digital banking, which leads to a process that must be faced by all actors in the financial sector. This paper presents the conditions of banking in Colombia and the coverage it has for users, delimiting its scope to four banks: Bancolombia, Banco de Occidente, Davivienda and Bancoomeva. In addition, it shows the evolution of traditional banking and the effects of its digital transformation. At the same time, a comparative analysis is carried out, on how based on fintech (technological finances), the banking sector has seen the need to change the strategy of attracting users. The financial system forsaw these changes happening, and traditional banking has been threatened by the emergence of these new startups. The general denominated Fintech; provide the same financial services of the traditional banking system, yet with the simplicity of the new technologies. Nevertheless, considering the massification of the internet and the accessibility to the new technologies, a wide variety of products and services have been created on behalf of the traditional banking system and the Fintech. Therefore, it is necessary for the channelling of the information from all the partners of the financial market to be contained in only one site. This will allow the public to compare interest rates and to make the most assertive decision that saves time and money. Hence, we present the proposal for iComp, a Fintech, financial technology app to compare interest rates for Colombia.Ítem Una mirada teórica al fintech en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Espinal, Carlos Andrés; Durango Gutiérrez, María PatriciaThis paper presents an approach to the new companies that venture into the global financial market, the so-called fintech. Definitions of the term fintech are presented both of academic authors and of business sector and some classifications given to these companies are exposed in order to propose a classification for the Colombian market, according to the segment of the financial market to which they provide their service. Identify all fintech companies in Colombia would be a difficult task, so were mapped the associated with the Asociación Colombia Fintech and they were cataloged according to the classification proposed for Colombia. Finally, four impacts that fintech have had on traditional Colombian banking were identified and analyzed. For this purpose, banks Bancolombia, Davivienda and BBVA were taken as reference, in order to give a quantitative approximation of these impacts.
