    Adaptación y creación de música colombiana de Bambuco, Pasillo y Joropo para el aprendizaje y formación del Trombón

    This article propose a way of teaching trombone based on both Colombian culture through folkloric rhythms such as bambuco, pasillo and joropo, and the more traditional American, French and German schools where examples and arguments are given to support this musical and instrumental pedagogy. This should allow a more dynamic development and learning of the instrument through the adaptation and creation of Colombian music and melodic exercises of great interest for both students and teachers.

    The aim of this article is to show and analyze “Dos piezas para guitarra en el espíritu popular colombiano” as a part of the repertoire for guitar by Blas Emilio Atehortúa. In order to achieve it, this article starts with a description of the life and work of the composer and a brief description of the rhythms included in his piece. Moreover, to get a proper understanding of the work, a series of comments and suggestions by the composer and the interpreter of this article are given.

    Tres arreglos del bambuco “Cejeñita “ para marimba sinfónica

    This work seeks to show three different ways to arrange andean colombian music for symphonic marimba.These arrangements were set by level of performance aiming to offer to different musicians the possibility of having an approach to this kind of repertoire and create therefore a bigger interest for this music, due to the lack of repertoire in the moment. Each arrangement has a series of performative considerations or suggestions which are focused mainly on harmonic and melodic accompaniment. The works will work as an example to those who might be interested in arranging or composing andean colombian music for symphonic marimba.
