    This thesis presents a pre-feasibility study focused on identifying and designing an agro-sustainable alternative within the Protective Forest Reserve of the Eastern Hills of Bogotá (RFPBOB), aimed at supporting farming families located in designated sustainable use zones. The proposed model integrates the production of hydroponic green fodder (HGF), the cultivation of short-cycle vegetables, and the rotational rearing of broiler chickens in mobile units. Its primary objective is to enhance food security and generate complementary income for rural communities, without compromising the ecological integrity of the reserve. The study adopts the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) methodology to assess the project’s technical, sectoral, market, organizational, financial, legal, and environmental feasibility, in strict alignment with current regulations—particularly the Environmental Management Plan for the RFPBOB, established by Resolution 1766 of 2016 issued by the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development. The proposed model is envisioned as a replicable and self-sustaining strategy that fosters environmental conservation through the application of agroecological practices tailored to the environmental conditions of the Eastern Hills. The analysis concludes that the initiative is viable, contingent upon effective coordination between local communities, institutional stakeholders, and sustained technical support.
