    Estudio de prefactibilidad para la instalación de una planta de triturado y asfalto en la Cantera el Faro en el municipio de Manizales

    This study evaluates the pre-feasibility to build an asphalt and crushing plant at the El Faro quarry, located on the road to Lisboa also known as Quiebra de Velez, 4km away from Manizales Caldas. The initial development is to take place using United nations industrial development (UNIDO) methodology, where all variables related to the construction phase are assessed in order to meet future material demand within the Caldas department. This includes the public infrastructure improvement works currently taking place such as housing commissions and 4G roadworks. The main objective of the study is the acknowledgement and understanding of areas such as environmental studies, surroundings and market analysis, including offer and demand of raw materials (asphalt, crushed rock, aggregates and structural fill). Furthermore, it is necessary to include technical studies to determine the machinery and civils works required for the plant operation, organizational study and meet legal environmental requirements including environmental licences and management plans. Lastly, the project risk and financial studies are declared for prospect investors decision making.
