Ítem Analytical method for the kinetostatic analysis of the second-class RRR assur group allowing for friction in the kinematic pairs(Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2010-07-01) Durango, S.; Calle, G.; Ruiz, O.; Universidad EAFIT. Departamento de Ingeniería Mecánica; Laboratorio CAD/CAM/CAEThe calculation of forces in the kinematic pairs of mechanisms by inverse dynamics is usually performed without friction considerations. In practice, when examination of articulated mechanisms takes into account friction, the solution of the inverse dynamics results in a complex procedure. If a modular approach for the inverse dynamics is used, then exact solutions are available, but not necessarily are practical. For example, the analytical solution for a second-class first-type Assur group is a 16th degree equation. Previous researches proposed an approximated but practical (graphical) method to calculate the forces on the kinematic pairs taking into account the friction forces. In this article, an analytical interpretation of the Artobolevski approximated method is developed for the second-class Assur group with three rotational pairs. The final results for the reactions calculated with the implemented method present a good approximation with respect to the graphical solution. Future work should consider friction forces not only in second-class groups with rotational joints, but also in second-class groups with prismatic joints and high-class Assur groups. In order to do this, seven semi-structured interviews were conducted and analyzed through the phenomenological hermeneutical method. The principal findings indicate that the education based on the analytical method contributes to the eagerness to learn and take responsibility from students and graduates, as well as to be respectful of each other's words and singularity, while having an open, unprejudiced attitude and an ethical behavior. All of the above is reflected in the clinical practice, as per the graduate’s own experience. The limitations presented in the research are the reduced sample of graduates interviewed in addition to the need to include graduates that affiliate with different clinical paradigms such as dynamic and cognitive-behavioral psychology, and psychoanalysis.Ítem Efectos percibidos del método analítico en la formación de psicólogos de una universidad de Medellín (Colombia)(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Valencia Arias, Juan Pablo; Manrique Tisnés, HoracioA brief review is made of the history of psychology and problems inherent in its teaching; on the one hand, two tendencies - ascetic and epistemic - that mark the roadmap for the study of the psychic, and on the other, the ways of forming these professionals and the influences of the context in that formation. The question of investigating the effects of the analytical method, as a teaching-learning methodology detected in a private university in Medellín, arises from some considerations of the current context in the field of education. Background information on the subject is reviewed, conceptualizing the notions of teaching, learning and analytical method. The results of the research process are then exposed, in which they explore the perceived effects of the analytical method on a series of participants, in conjunction with the characteristics perceived by them of the analytical method, based on their experiences in analytical devicesÍtem Experiencias de placer y displacer en estudiantes de psicología, a partir de la formación con el método analítico(Universidad EAFIT, 2020) Echavarría García, Mateo; Manrique Tisnés, HoracioIn this study we investigate the experiences of pleasure and displeasure in the training of psychology students in a private university with the use of the analytical method. For this purpose, six students were interviewed in a semi-structured way in order to identify these experiences and their relationship with their training based on the analytical method. Among the main findings, it was noted that, despite being able to identify both pleasant and unpleasant experiences in their training, this pedagogical proposal is well valued by students, who showed an understanding and adherence to the formative and existential implications of this methodology, showing among them mainly, responsibility and autonomy, among others.Ítem Failure analysis of a fastener system and its analytical prediction(2009-01-01) Ossa, E.A.; Paniagüa, M.A.; Ossa, E.A.; Paniagüa, M.A.; Universidad EAFIT. Departamento de Ingeniería de Producción; Materiales de IngenieríaThis paper describes the failure analysis performed for a fastener system commonly used in civil construction. This system was manufactured using AISI-SAE 1045 steel and showed unusual sudden cracking while a preload was applied under normal working conditions. An exhaustive study aiming to find the cause or causes of this unusual cracking, including experimental work and analytical prediction, is the main objective of this work. Experimental techniques like fractography, metallographic inspection and spectrometry revealed defective manufacture and processing techniques of the elements. Furthermore, microstructural analysis revealed the presence of Widmanstatten ferrite which induces a fragile behaviour of the material. An analysis of the applied stresses on the fastener during preloading using a proposed analytical method demonstrated the presence of elevated loads that caused the initiation of cracks along the length of the fastener. This premature failure could be avoided if a proper heat treatment was applied to the fasteners. The analytical model, based on Lamé's theory, is considered an easy to use tool in order to predict the failure of similar fasteners and mechanical elements.
