Publicación Estudio de prefactibilidad para la construcción de una escuela agroecológica en el municipio de La Unión, departamento de Antioquia(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Díaz Alape, Cristian Fernando; Díez Benjumea, Jhon MiguelThis work presents a prefeasibility study for the creation of an Agroecological School in the municipality of La Unión, Antioquia, with the purpose of strengthening environmental education, promoting sustainable agricultural practices, and contributing to rural development. Through a comprehensive analysis that includes market, technical, financial, administrative, legal, and environmental studies, the viability of establishing an educational institution aimed at training vocational technicians in agroecology and offering complementary training courses is demonstrated. Different segments of potential clients were identified, such as: the producer client, the technical client, and the institutional client, whom it is expected to impact through accessible programs, with a practical approach and aligned with sustainable development goals, almost like the Departmental and Municipal approach. The methodology used is based on the Logical Framework approach and UNIDO, integrating social, economic, and ecological criteria to ensure the sustainability of the project. The analysis concludes that the initiative has the potential to positively influence the transformation of local production systems, the conservation of the environment, and the strengthening of the social fabric of the territory.Publicación Integración de sistemas agroforestales en los procesos de compensación por pérdida de biodiversidad en Colombia(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Botero Llinás, Sarita; Parra Sierra, Jersain Orlando; Gutiérrez Rua, Juliana MaríaBiodiversity Loss Compensation Processes in Colombia don’t contemplate agriculture as a method to improve ecosystems due to a long history of green revolution-based production and the expansion of the agricultural frontier. Different authors, countries and interviewees identify that some practices and agricultural methods such as Agroforestry Systems are capable of offering agricultural production, social and economic development, and the protection and conservation of biodiversity in the compensation processes. Nevertheless, there are normative, technical and cultural gaps that limit this articulation. With the commitment of the actors involved and the leadership of the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, these gaps can be closed and route Colombia in the Articulation of both processes.
