Agenda de progreso social en Antioquia : desafíos en cooperación e incidencia
(Universidad EAFIT, 2025) Echavarría Urrego, Claudia Marcela; Eslava Gómez, Adolfo
In this investigative internship report, academic publications are analyzed to show how social action, within a framework of cooperation and trust, generates polycentric governance for the management of common and public goods. This model is seen as viable for development in Antioquia to promote a participatory social agenda and foster shared responsibilities. The text discusses, from a media agenda perspective, how the contributions of significant local institutions create a roadmap on specific issues. It also examines both the development plans of Medellín district and the Antioquia Department to assess their focus on social matters. Additionally, interviews were conducted with key stakeholders identified to understand how to propel the social progress agenda in Antioquia. The results are presented from an academic standpoint, all under the participation framework of a capstone project by EAFIT Social and Public Value, led by Adolfo Eslava, Director of EAFIT Social; Head of the Master's Program in Social Enterprise Management for Social Innovation and Local Development; PhD in Political Studies from Universidad Externado; Master's in Economics from Universidad Nacional; and Economist from Universidad de Antioquia. The qualitative conclusions highlight that there is still a need for greater coordination and cooperation between public and private institutions in the region with the civilian population. However, common themes such as education, economic development, and health are also evident
