Ítem Determinar los mercados potenciales en Latinoamérica del Urbanuss Pluss Tour para Busscar de Colombia SAS(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) Gálvez Valencia, Angélica María; Marín Arango, Johana Carolina; Uribe de Correa, Beatriz Amparo; Guerrero Latorre, Jorge HarleyFor Busscar de Colombia SAS, the development of the double-decker bus for urban tourism, named Urbanuss Pluss Tour, involved not only an effort in its development, technology and innovation, but a strong economic investment that after two years has not reached the return. The objective of this research is to Establish the Latin America potential markets for the Urbanuss Pluss Tour. Reason why it is important to analyze which Latin America countries have the highest volume of urban tourism. Then verify its exportation commercial viability given the tariff restrictions and the free trade agreements, such as Mercosur and Alianza del Pacifico. After that , we analyze the government technical regulations for the double-decker bus in these countries, in order to determine the modifications that should be applied to the vehicle and ultimately, make a demand forecast taking into account the growth expected tourism in each country through a statistical calculation based on two variables: the volume of tourists and the number of buses in circulation of this type. Concluding, that the countries to which it is more feasible to export the Urbanuss Pluss Tour are: Mexico, Chile, Peru and Argentina. Taking this into account, it is recommended that Busscar de Colombia SAS conduct a benchmarking study to determine the sales price in each of these countries, calculate the vehicles replacement time, and a marketing strategy to be applied to these markets.
