Ítem Adagio de la sonata para violín BWV 1005 de Johann Sebastian Bach : una propuesta de interpretación desde un punto de vista histórico(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Cano Cuervo, Jhon Harrison; Lennis Cortés, Laura IsabelWithin the different interpretations of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach for solo violin, most performers today have opted for two very different interpretive visions: a modern one based on current resources and knowledge that includes the use of vibrato and high positions, and the historical one, which sought to recreate the sound of its time within the conventions and interpretive possibilities of the moment. The purpose of this article is to present an interpretative proposal from a historical standpoint of the Adagio from the Violin Sonata BWV 1005 by J. S. Bach based on the Treatise on the Fundamental Principles of Playing the Violin, written by Leopold Mozart in 1756.Ítem Adaptación de la obra colombiana Rosarillo de Luis Antonio Calvo para violonchelo y piano(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Casas Zuñiga, Stiven; Manco, Juan DavidThe purpose of this article is to provide an account of the process undertaken in adapting the work Rosarillo by Luis Antonio Calvo for cello and piano. The methodology was developed initially from the collection of the original scores, the structural analysis of the work, and the musical adaptation for cello, then the selection of microphones and effects pedals, and finally the exploration of the sounds of the selected pedals. With this process, the feasibility of using real-time sound effects was demonstrated, obtaining novel sound results that open up new possibilities in the interpretation of music written for cello.Ítem Antología de obras para clarinete de música andina colombiana : análisis y recomendaciones interpretativas(Universidad EAFIT, 2010) Uribe Espitia, Jaime; Vinasco Guzmán, Javier AsdrúbalÍtem Arreglo para Big Band de música andina colombiana en nivel infantil/juvenil : una descripción analítica al proceso de la creación del arreglo para Big Band de la obra Bambuquísimo del maestro León Cardona(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Muñoz Enríquez, Javier Esteban; Manco, Juan DavidThe aim of this article is to give an account of the creation process of an Andean Colombian Music arrangement for juvenile Big Bands, to inform of the appropriateness of potentiating multi-instrumentalist children’s musical abilities, and to analyze the technical resources used to elaborate a Big Band arrangement for students undergoing musical training. To that effect, four methodological phases were carried out: (i) Selection of the Musical Piece, (ii) Analysis of the Piece, (iii) Drafting of the Sketch, and (iv) Elaboration of the Arrangement. As a result, a methodological process for the creation of a Big Band arrangement was obtained. The arrangement leaves room for multi-instrumentalist musicians and for improvisation in Andean Colombian Music, and it is specifically designed for young musicians. As a way of conclusion, the elaboration of this type of arrangements requires special treatment in terms of the technical content that they contain, which is necessary because of the few arrangements available for this repertoire.Ítem Arreglos para los procesos sinfónicos binacionales de nivel inicial e intermedio de la ciudad de Ipiales(Universidad EAFIT, 2019) López Narváez, Nathaly; Alunno, MarcoThis work is the result of a personal experience in working with symphony orchestras in the town of Ipiales - Nariño at the Colombian-Ecuadorian borders. Through this experience, evidence of paucity of traditional repertoire with technical characteristics suited for a beginner orchestra was found. With the purpose of filling this gap, this work proposes three arrangements for the initial and the intermediate symphonic orchestras under the binational music formation processes of the town of Ipiales. The arrangements are based on the technical characteristics of these orchestras. This article discusses the characteristics of the Colombian cumbia, the Ecuadorian pasacalle, and San Juanito and addresses the adaptation of three works in those rhythms for the initial and intermediate orchestral level.Ítem Billiescence: aportes del análisis musical al proceso compositivo(Universidad EAFIT, 2016) Valencia Ramos, Juan CarlosEste artículo presenta el proceso creativo de “Billiescence”, obra para cuatro trompetas y sección rítmica, tomando como punto principal de referencia, elementos musicales extractados del análisis de Bill`s Hit Tune, Comrade Conrad y Turn out the Stars, del compositor Bill Evans, además de otros de sus trabajos -- Los temas discutidos en este trabajo son: Consideraciones sobre el análisis musical, trabajos previos alrededor de Evans, características generales en sus composiciones, la descripción del material pre – compositivo y su organización para el diseño de Billiescence, características generales de la obra y del diseño del arreglo para cuatro trompetas y sección rítmica -- El texto incluye gráficas que sirven como complemento descriptivo y explicativo del proceso de composición y comentarios acerca de las situaciones más importantes desde el análisis musical hasta la concepción de “Billiescence”Ítem Dos paisajes colombianos : proceso de composición y análisis(Universidad EAFIT, 2011) Toro Tobón, Carlos Ignacio; Alunno, MarcoÍtem El impresionismo musical y su relación con los aspectos del lenguaje armónico y melódico en la obra de Guillermo Uribe Holguín(Universidad EAFIT, 2013) Sánchez Suárez, Sergio Andrés; Yepes Londoño, Gustavo AdolfoEl presente trabajo busca determinar la relación del Impresionismo musical Francés con el lenguaje armónico y melódico de la obra musical del Compositor Colombiano Guillermo Uribe Holguín -- Para este fin, se realizó una comparación de los aspectos del lenguaje armónico y melódico del Impresionismo Francés con la Obra Musical de Guillermo Uribe Holguín -- Este documento está dividido en tres partes: la primera parte hace referencia a la Vida de GUH, dividiendo cronológicamente sus diferentes etapas, la segunda parte define los aspectos armónicos y melódicos significativos del lenguaje musical Impresionista, por medio de una revisión teórica e histórica de cada y la tercera parte del presente documento se ocupa de los aspectos del lenguaje armónico y melódico impresionista dentro de la obra de Guillermo Uribe HolguínÍtem Magdalena : una obra para violín solo y medio electroacústico(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Marín Mesa, Emanuel; Lennis Cortés, Laura IsabelThe search for new sounds has been a constant in the work of composers throughout history, with electroacoustic music as an important innovation in this field. This genre establishes a new aesthetic, where it is possible to incorporate elements of folklore and academic music, combine different perspectives of musical language, and reevaluate the roles of composer, performer, and producer in creative processes. To find mechanisms to disseminate Colombian folk music, enrich the Colombian academic violin repertoire, and incorporate electroacoustic music into academic and popular musical traditions, this work analyzes how these elements are integrated into Emanuel Marín Mesa's piece Magdalena for violin and electronics, thereby exploring alternatives in composition for the instrument and the traditional musical genres of the Andean and Caribbean regions of Colombia.Ítem Una rapsodia sinfónica : proceso de orquestación estilística de la 'Rapsodia en Si menor, Op. 79 No. 1' de Johannes Brahms(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) Cuéllar-Trujillo, Daniel; Manco, Juan DavidÍtem Tres adaptaciones de música andina colombiana a la literatura solista del contrabajo(Universidad EAFIT, 2024) Olarte de los Ríos, Carlos Andrés; Manco, Juan DavidThis article provides an exercise in adapting three pieces of Colombian Andean music to solo double bass literature. To this end, a historiographical study was carried out at the organological level of the double bass, taking into account that this instrument is known as a great accompaniment in all types of music, but due to its tessitura, it is not recognized as a solo instrument in any genre. This is reflected in the small amount of solo repertoire that he has. For this reason, the historical and musical context of the composers of the three pieces was studied: Pedro Morales Pino, Luis A. Calvo and Luis Uribe Bueno. Finally, the adaptations were prepared in such a way that they are in the idiomatic language of the double bass, taking into account its organological dimension in a technical way, since, when playing its tones and semitones, the distances are much wider unlike other instruments, even more so in comparison with the piano and the Colombian Andean bandola. As a result of this, these three works are compatible with the double bass and are presented in this article.Ítem Tres arreglos del bambuco “Cejeñita “ para marimba sinfónica(Universidad EAFIT, 2022) García Moreno, Miguel Antonio; García de Castro, FedericoThis work seeks to show three different ways to arrange andean colombian music for symphonic marimba. These arrangements were set by level of performance aiming to offer to different musicians the possibility of having an approach to this kind of repertoire and create therefore a bigger interest for this music, due to the lack of repertoire in the moment.
