Even so, over the years there has been a sustained trend of low income of students to these careers and high labor demands of professionals in these areas, which raises concern worldwide. This is why considerable efforts have been made on various fronts to change this worrying outlook. This research intends to propose knowledge management and innovation strategies that promote the development of skills among teachers so that they are the ones who motivate students for vocations for STEM careers, for this a qualitative research with an exploratory-descriptive scope was developed, which included an analysis of the literature of national and international general strategies and some of them with a direct focus on teachers. A work is also carried out to identify the skills, knowledge and practices of Colombian teachers, based on the information collected, elements are consolidated that will make up the knowledge management and innovation strategies focused on developing teachers in an integral way from their relationships with their peers and their student community.
