VELEZ UPEGUI; Departamento de Humanidades; Estudios de Filosofía, Hermenéutica y NarrativasGiven the fact that the word ``Understanding'' has become to be part of the philosophical vocabulary of our times, this article pretends to develop a theoretical reflection about how such concept has achieve conceptual status in four German authors, namely, Dilthey, Husserl, Heidegger y Gadamer. The differences between them on his conceptions will be also presented and two point of concurrence will be tried to sustain, namely, the fact that his respective meditations goes against the tradition of thought behind them, and the fact that each one of this, in his ways, cannot avoid to imply the phenomena of language at the time while consider the human phenomena of understanding.Ítem Tragedy and mithical reapprehension(Universidad EAFIT - Departamento de Humanidades, 2013-11-28) M. VELEZ UPEGUI; Departamento de Humanidades; Estudios de Filosofía, Hermenéutica y NarrativasThis paper draws attention to the relation that may be established between Attic tragedy and the Greek mythical tradition. After describing cultural conditions that make this relation possible, the paper advances the idea that the Dionysian religious festival -organized as a theatrical contest- is rooted in a mythical reapprehension process underlying drama in general and tragedy in particular. More specifically, this paper conjectures that myth reapprehension, which leads to the new poetic order referred to as tragedy, encompass three stages: selection and modification, restructuration and codification. Social and artistic aspects involved in each of these stages are addressed in the paper in order to shed light on the conjecture stated above.
