Ítem Análisis hidrogeoquímico y de calidad del agua subterránea en el Valle de San Nicolás - Oriente antioqueño, para su uso potencial en abastecimiento poblacional(Universidad EAFIT, 2021) Giraldo Ulloa, Vanessa; Jaramillo Uribe, MarcelaThe population increase in eastern Antioquia has triggered a series of negative consequences in the supply of public services, particularly the water resource, due to its overexploitation for various uses, climate change and pollutants due to anthropic activities. Based on these statements, groundwater is seen as an alternative source of supply, for which it is necessary to identify various factors, including the performance of hydrogeochemical and quality analysis of this water, to determine whether or not is suitable for human consumption. This document presents the analyses mentioned above for the San Nicolás Valley, with the purpose of identifying the main contaminants for groundwater and determining the sufficiency in quality to be used as a source of supply, through the calculation of the ionic balance, Piper, Stiff and Stabler diagrams, and comparisons with the Colombian regulations related to the characteristics that water must have in order to determine its use.
