    State contracts of work, are the mechanism with which various entities in pursuit of the growth and development of the country originate projects -- Success in the management of these projects, is obtained from the combination of various factors, such as the economic component, is therefore, consideration of all the variables that compose this element is fundamental to achieve the goals proposed by any project manager -- Therefore, it is essential to consider that recently, in the projects that originate from State contracts of work, has developed a position supported by legal concepts, determines a new treatment to the variable of contingency costs of the indirect cost structure -- This new definition of the variable requires that the Contracting Parties have and implement a method, based on his analysis, allow not only their evidence, but rather conducive in addition its estimate, thus orienting his recognition and contributing on the search of the economic contract success -- The method will be based on an analysis of the existing jurisprudence and will emphasize in the projects arising from contracts made by the municipality of Medellin and Antioquia governorate, specifying therein the incidence having that in the variable indirect has the contingency costs and allowing the project manager it´s control
